Bulb Transport

About Bulb Transport

Bulb Transport is a 24/7, UK-wide courier that puts one dedicated vehicle on one job and drives it straight there. This page covers who runs it, how a job works across our twenty services and thirteen sectors, the licences and insurance behind every collection, and where our vehicles run.

Who runs Bulb Transport?

Bulb Transport is a London-based courier operating since 2011. It runs a fleet of 40+ vehicles without changing how it works: one controller owns your job from the first call to the proof of delivery.

Dispatch is handled in-house, 24 hours a day. Every consignment is collected by a vetted Bulb Transport driver, briefed by the controller who booked it.

How a job runs

What happens after you call?

  1. 01

    One controller takes the job

You give collection and delivery postcodes, what the item is, and when it has to be there. The person who answers the phone is the person who assigns your vehicle.

  2. 02

    Vehicle, price and ETA confirmed

All three are agreed before anything moves, and the figure quoted is the figure invoiced. Nothing is added after delivery.

  3. 03

    Collection, typically within 60 minutes

The nearest suitable vehicle is assigned and comes straight to you — not to a yard first.

  4. 04

Straight there, tracked the whole way

One vehicle, one job: no consolidation, no sortation, and no other drops between your collection and your delivery. Live GPS tracking runs for the length of the job.

  5. 05

    Proof of delivery emailed

A signed POD with the time and the name of the person who took it lands in your inbox on completion.

FAQs

Questions we get asked

Where is Bulb Transport based?

Bulb Transport is based in London, with dispatch at the Fitzrovia office. In practice where we are matters less than where the nearest free vehicle is, and that is what your collection time is quoted from.

Do you run your own vehicles, or subcontract the work?

Every job across the twenty services we list is run on a Bulb Transport vehicle with a Bulb Transport driver. Dispatch confirms the vehicle and driver before you commit to anything.

How quickly can a vehicle reach me?

Collection is typically within 60 minutes of booking, and dispatch confirms an exact window before you commit to anything. Outside the major cities that window depends on the nearest base, so ask when you call.

Do you work weekends and bank holidays?

Yes. Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and weekend courier jobs run at the same response times as weekdays, at a rate confirmed up front.

What happens if a consignment is damaged in transit?

Every consignment carries goods-in-transit cover to £25,000 as standard, and a claim is handled by the controller who ran the job rather than a separate claims line. Photographic condition reports are taken at collection on high-value work.

Can you handle regular contract work as well as one-off jobs?

Yes. Account customers get a named controller and consolidated invoicing. Give dispatch the volume and the routes and we will price it as a standing arrangement.
