Exhibition courier for stand builds and event derig

Event work runs on two immovable times: when the venue lets you in, and when the show opens. Freight that misses the first has nowhere to go, so the build window is the job rather than a detail of it.

Why does venue timing dictate everything?

Because a hall has no waiting room. Arrive before your slot and you sit in a marshalling queue. Arrive after it and the aisle you needed is full of somebody else's stand. Neither is recoverable on the day.

So dispatch works back from the slot the venue gave you, not from the distance. Give the organiser's build times, the hall, the stand number and the name of whoever is on site, and the arrival is planned to land inside them.

Why book the derig with the delivery?

Because at ten past five on the last day, every exhibitor in the hall wants a van, and the ones who booked in advance get them. A derig arranged afterwards is a derig that happens tomorrow.

Booking both legs also means the same driver knows the hall, the gate and the stand. Where the stand goes into storage between shows rather than back to an office, that can be arranged with it — see warehousing courier.

What we handle

What do you move for events?

  • Stands, sets and display builds

Delivered inside the build window to the hall and stand number rather than the venue address.

  • Derig collections as the show closes

Booked with the delivery, so a van is waiting rather than being hunted for at five past five.

  • Stock, samples and literature

Topped up mid-show where the venue allows access, or delivered ahead with the build.

  • Storage between shows

Held with us and released for the next build, instead of returning to an office nobody has room in.

How booking works

How does booking a Bulb Transport courier work?

  1. 01

Tell dispatch what you are moving

Use the quote form or call dispatch with the collection and delivery postcodes, what is travelling and when it needs to arrive.

  2. 02

Get one fixed price and a dedicated vehicle

Dispatch confirms a fixed price and sends one vehicle and one driver for your job alone, with no hubs and no handovers.

  3. 03

Track it and receive proof of delivery

Follow the vehicle live while it is moving. The signed proof of delivery is emailed to you as soon as the job is complete.

Why Bulb Transport

Why book with Bulb Transport?

  • A fixed price, agreed first

The price you are quoted is the price you pay. Dispatch confirms it before the vehicle moves.

  • Live tracking and proof of delivery

Follow your vehicle live across the UK, and receive the signed proof of delivery by email on completion.

FAQs

Questions we get asked

Can you deliver inside a venue's build window?

Yes, and it's the whole point. Give dispatch the organiser's build times, the hall and the stand number, and the arrival is planned back from them rather than from the mileage.

What if the driver is held in a marshalling queue?

It happens at every large venue, and the driver stays in it. You get a call with where they are in the queue rather than a van that gives up and comes back tomorrow.

Can you collect straight after the show closes?

Yes, if it's booked with the delivery. Every exhibitor wants a van at the same moment on the last afternoon, so a derig arranged in advance is the one that actually leaves that night.

Can you store the stand between shows?

Yes. It's held with us and released for the next build, which is usually cheaper than a return leg plus office space — see warehousing courier.

Can you get something to a stand mid-show?

Often, though the venue decides. Some halls allow access before doors, some not at all. Tell dispatch the venue and you'll get a straight answer rather than a hopeful one.
