Bulb Transport

Two man delivery, into the room rather than the kerb

Two man delivery puts a second person on the van so the item goes inside — upstairs, round the awkward corner, into the room you nominate. If one person can carry it, a same day courier does the job for less.

  • Two crew where it needs two
  • Tail lift where needed
  • Price agreed before collection

What does a second pair of hands change?

A single-driver delivery ends at the tailgate. Fine for boxes. Not fine for a three-seat sofa or a 60-kilogram machine: the moment the van pulls away, the problem is entirely yours. Moving heavy furniture upstairs with whoever happens to be home is how both people and doorframes get damaged.

With two crew the delivery finishes where the item is meant to live. They lift together, and take a door off its hinges if that's the only way through. The item and the property are both protected on the way in, and it's positioned before they leave.

  • Carried inside, into the room you nominate
  • Staircases, tight turns and awkward access
  • Blanket wrapping for the item and the property
  • Packaging taken away if you want it gone

What does two man delivery cost?

Distance, van and crew — which means the access at each end matters as much as the mileage. Give dispatch the dimensions, the rough weight, how many floors and where the van can park. Then the figure won't change because of the third flight of stairs.

  • Floors, and whether there's a working lift
  • Door widths and the route in
  • Where the van can legally stop
  • Whether packaging is going back with us

How booking works

How does booking a Bulb Transport courier work?

  1. 01

Tell dispatch what you are moving

Use the quote form or call dispatch with the collection and delivery postcodes, what is travelling and when it needs to arrive.

  2. 02

Get one fixed price and a dedicated vehicle

Dispatch confirms a fixed price and sends one vehicle and one driver for your job alone, with no hubs and no handovers.

  3. 03

Track it and receive proof of delivery

Follow the vehicle live while it is moving. The signed proof of delivery is emailed to you as soon as the job is complete.

FAQs

Questions we get asked

How heavy an item can two people manage?

Shape and access decide it more than weight. A compact 100kg safe is easier than an ungainly 60kg wardrobe up a spiral staircase. Give dispatch the dimensions and describe the route in, and the controller will tell you what's realistic.

Will they take it upstairs?

Yes, that's the point of the service. Tell dispatch how many floors and whether there's a lift. A fourth-floor walk-up is a different job from a ground-floor delivery, and it should be priced as one from the start.

What if it won't fit through the door?

The crew try the obvious things first: a door off its hinges, feet unscrewed, a different approach angle. If it genuinely won't go, they'll say so rather than force it, which is why the dimensions you give at booking matter.

Can you do a two man collection as well?

Yes. House clearances, returns and collections from an upstairs room are booked the same way, and a collection plus a delivery in one run is a single job rather than two.
