Open roles
Are there any jobs open right now?
Nothing open today
There are no vacancies advertised at the moment. Dispatch keeps CVs on file, so it is worth sending one.
What is the driving work actually like?
Every job is one vehicle going to one place. You collect, you drive, you deliver — there is no consolidation, no sortation and no other drops between your collection and your delivery, which is the whole reason customers book us rather than a parcel network.
- One controller owns your job — the person who assigns it is the person you call
- Live GPS tracking runs for the length of every job
- Dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Who does Bulb Transport hire?
Drivers who can be trusted with a customer's worst day. A lot of what we move is irreplaceable — art, bullion, an aircraft part with a grounded plane behind it, and the rest of the sectors we run for — and the person holding it is the whole service as far as that customer is concerned.
What is not negotiable is the licence, the right to work in the UK, and turning up for the shift you accepted.
How to apply
What happens after you send a CV?
- 01
Send a CV and name the role
Email it to dispatch with the role you are after in the subject line. There is no form, no account and no reference number.
- 02
Your CV is kept on file
Dispatch works through the CVs on file when work comes in, and gets in touch if your experience fits.
- 03
Licence and reference checks
Before any start date we check your licence and references. Some contracts also need a DBS check, and we tell you before you agree to one.
FAQs
Questions we get asked
Do I need my own van to drive for you?
Not for driving on Bulb Transport vehicles — the five vehicle types we run come with fuel, maintenance and insurance handled by us. Owner-drivers use their own vehicle, so say which you are in your email.
What happens to my CV if nothing suitable is open?
Dispatch keeps it on file and works through it when work comes in. Send an updated one if your licence or experience changes.
What hours would I be working?
Dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so driving can cover nights, weekends and bank holidays. Ask dispatch about the specific pattern when you are contacted.
Do you hire for anything other than driving?
Dispatch controllers are the other role we hire for. Send a CV and say which role you want in the subject line.
