Fine art courier for galleries, dealers and collectors
A painting, a sculpture or a period piece arrives in the condition it left, or the job has failed. That means one van, soft handling, and people who expect to be careful rather than quick.
What does careful handling actually mean?
It starts with what else is on the van. Nothing. A frame that shares a load space with pallets will be fine ninety-nine times and ruined once, and the once is the only outcome that matters.
Then it's blankets, corner protection and bracing so nothing moves on the road. Pieces are carried flat or upright as the work requires, not as the space suggests. Condition is checked at both ends, in front of you.
Who books a fine art courier, and why?
Galleries moving stock between spaces. Dealers delivering to a collector. Auction houses shifting lots before and after a sale. Collectors who have bought something and do not want it on a pallet network.
Most of these need the piece inside rather than at a kerb, which is a two man delivery booking. Where a piece has to wait between a sale and a delivery date, it can be held rather than shuttled twice.
What we handle
What do you move for the art trade?
Paintings, frames and works on paper
Blanket-wrapped and braced, carried flat or upright as the work needs, never stacked.
Sculpture, ceramics and period furniture
Two crew where the weight or the shape needs them, and protection for the property on the way in.
Fair, auction and exhibition movements
Collection windows agreed in advance so nothing waits on a loading bay after a sale.
Holding between a sale and a delivery
Held with us and released on the date the buyer wants, rather than moved twice.

FAQs
Questions we get asked
How is the piece protected in transit?
Blankets, corner protection and bracing, with the piece carried flat or upright as the work requires. It travels alone on the van, and condition is checked with you at both ends.
What cover is there for a high-value piece?
Agreed against the value you declare and confirmed in writing before collection. Tell dispatch the value at enquiry, and if a piece can't be properly covered you'll be told rather than carried.
Can you deliver into a room rather than the door?
Yes. Book it as a two man delivery and two crew take it in, protect the route and position it. Say at booking how many floors and how wide the door is.
Do you collect from fairs and auction houses?
Yes, and the window matters more than the address. Give dispatch the collection time the house allows and the driver is there for it rather than queuing afterwards.
Can you hold a piece between sale and delivery?
Yes. It's held with us and released on the date the buyer wants, which is cheaper and safer than moving it twice — see warehousing courier.
