Bullion courier for gold and precious metals
Metal moves best when nobody knows it moved. Unmarked vans, one driver from collection to handover, a route that does not advertise itself, and a release only to the person named on the job. Value and cover are settled before anything is collected.
What does discretion mean in practice?
Nothing on the van says who operates it or what it carries. The driver knows the route and the times, and nobody else does. Collections are made at agreed moments rather than left as a standing pattern anyone could learn.
It also means the consignment never sits. No depot, no sorting stage, no overnight in a yard. One driver holds it from the vault, refiner or dealer to the person named at the other end.
How are value, cover and paperwork settled?
Before collection, not at the door. Dispatch takes the declared value at enquiry, confirms the cover in writing, and agrees who may release the metal and who may receive it.
If a consignment cannot be properly covered, we say so rather than carry it. Multi-stop movements between a refiner, a dealer and a vault are planned as one job, with each handover named in advance. Finished pieces rather than raw metal belong with watch and jewellery.
What we handle
What do you carry for the metals trade?
Bullion between vaults, dealers and refiners
One driver the whole way, on an unmarked van, with each handover named in advance.
Scrap and refining consignments
Collected from the workshop or dealer and taken straight to the refiner, with no depot stage.
Multi-stop movements planned as one job
Refiner, dealer and vault in a single planned run rather than three separate bookings.
Collections outside business hours
Arranged for a time that suits the vault rather than a standing pattern anyone could learn.
How booking works
How does booking a Bulb Transport courier work?
- 01
Tell dispatch what you are moving
Use the quote form or call dispatch with the collection and delivery postcodes, what is travelling and when it needs to arrive.
- 02
Get one fixed price and a dedicated vehicle
Dispatch confirms a fixed price and sends one vehicle and one driver for your job alone, with no hubs and no handovers.
- 03
Track it and receive proof of delivery
Follow the vehicle live while it is moving. The signed proof of delivery is emailed to you as soon as the job is complete.
Book a metals movement
Tell dispatch about the consignment
The two ends, the declared value, and who is authorised at each end. Say if it is multi-stop.
Faster by phone
0344 823 4006Dispatch answers day and night, including weekends and bank holidays. If the job is already urgent, call rather than type.
What happens next?
- 01A controller reads it and calls the number you gave.
- 02Vehicle, price and collection window confirmed before anything is booked.
- 03The nearest vehicle comes to you.

FAQs
Questions we get asked
Are the vehicles marked in any way?
No. Nothing on the van identifies the operator or the cargo, and the driver carries no livery, no signage and no branded clothing. That is the point of the service.
What cover is in place for the value?
Agreed against the value you declare and confirmed in writing before collection, never assumed from a standard limit. If a consignment can't be properly covered, you'll be told rather than carried.
Who can take delivery?
Only the person named on the job. The driver won't hand metal to a colleague, a reception or a security desk, whatever the pressure at the far end.
Can you run a multi-stop movement?
Yes. A refiner, a dealer and a vault in one planned run is ordinary work, and each handover is named before the van leaves.
Can collections be made outside business hours?
Yes. The desk is staffed day and night, and early or late collections are often preferable, since they avoid the predictable pattern a regular slot creates.
