IT equipment courier for servers, racks and devices
Servers and network kit fail quietly. A drop that leaves no mark can still kill a drive, and a static discharge you cannot feel can kill a board. So this equipment travels alone, packed and braced, on one van.
Why are shock and static the real risks?
Because neither leaves evidence at handover. A rack signed for in good order can fail a week later, and by then nobody can say which journey did it. Damage you can see is the easy case.
So the handling is built for what you cannot see. Kit is braced rather than stacked, moved in its packaging where it has any, and kept away from pallets and anything that shifts.
How are migrations and rollouts run?
A migration is a sequence, not a delivery. Kit has to arrive in the order it gets installed, inside a window that usually falls at night, and a van early is as unhelpful as a van late.
Rollouts across sites work the same way, planned as one job rather than a stack of bookings. Where decommissioned kit comes back, the return leg is scheduled with the delivery rather than chased afterwards.
What we handle
What do you move for IT teams?
Servers, switches and populated racks
Braced upright and moved on a tail lift rather than lifted down by hand.
Laptops, devices and refresh batches
Collected from the supplier and delivered to a named person at each site.
Overnight migration and outage windows
Timed to the window rather than the working day, in the order the install needs.
Decommissioned kit for return or disposal
Collected on the same visit as the delivery, so nothing is chased afterwards.
How booking works
How does booking a Bulb Transport courier work?
- 01
Tell dispatch what you are moving
Use the quote form or call dispatch with the collection and delivery postcodes, what is travelling and when it needs to arrive.
- 02
Get one fixed price and a dedicated vehicle
Dispatch confirms a fixed price and sends one vehicle and one driver for your job alone, with no hubs and no handovers.
- 03
Track it and receive proof of delivery
Follow the vehicle live while it is moving. The signed proof of delivery is emailed to you as soon as the job is complete.
Vehicles used

Book an IT movement
Tell dispatch about the kit
What's moving, the sites, and the window it has to land in. Say if a rack is populated.
Faster by phone
0344 823 4006Dispatch answers day and night, including weekends and bank holidays. If the job is already urgent, call rather than type.
What happens next?
- 01A controller reads it and calls the number you gave.
- 02Vehicle, price and collection window confirmed before anything is booked.
- 03The nearest vehicle comes to you.

FAQs
Questions we get asked
Can you move a populated rack?
Yes, on a tail lift rather than lifted down by hand, braced upright for the journey. Tell dispatch the height, the weight and what the access looks like at both ends.
Can you work inside an overnight outage window?
Yes, and most migration work is exactly that. Give dispatch the window and the install order, and the arrival is timed to it rather than to the working day.
Do you handle multi-site rollouts?
Yes. Several sites in sequence are planned as one job with one controller, rather than as separate bookings that happen to fall on the same week.
What about lithium batteries in the equipment?
Tell dispatch before booking. Batteries in or with equipment can bring a consignment under dangerous goods rules, and that is handled through our ADR and dangerous goods work.
Can you collect decommissioned kit for disposal?
Yes. Book it with the delivery and the old kit leaves on the same visit, which is cheaper than a second run and stops it sitting in a corridor.
