Student removals in one trip, priced before you book
A room's worth of boxes, bedding, a bike and a desk lamp, moved in one van on the day you nominate, with the price agreed before you commit. If it's a single heavy item rather than a room, book two man delivery instead.
- Price agreed before collection
- Quoted from two postcodes
- Weekends and bank holidays
Which student moves do you do?
Halls to a shared house at the end of first year. House to house in the summer gap. Everything home for the holidays and back again in September. Storage in between, if the tenancy dates don't line up with the term dates — which they rarely do.
Tenancy changeover days are the busy ones, because everyone in a city moves out on the same Saturday. Book those early; the van, not the driver, is what runs out.
- Halls to a shared house, and back again
- One address to two, on the same run
- Tenancy changeover weekends
- Storage between a move-out and a move-in
What does a student move cost?
Van size and road miles, agreed before you book. The most useful thing you can do is count the boxes honestly. A move quoted for a small van that turns up needing a Luton costs more than one quoted right first time.
- How much there actually is, in boxes
- Miles between the two addresses
- Whether a second address is on the run
- A second person if you want lifting help
How booking works
How does booking a Bulb Transport courier work?
- 01
Tell dispatch what you are moving
Use the quote form or call dispatch with the collection and delivery postcodes, what is travelling and when it needs to arrive.
- 02
Get one fixed price and a dedicated vehicle
Dispatch confirms a fixed price and sends one vehicle and one driver for your job alone, with no hubs and no handovers.
- 03
Track it and receive proof of delivery
Follow the vehicle live while it is moving. The signed proof of delivery is emailed to you as soon as the job is complete.

FAQs
Questions we get asked
Will everything fit in one van?
A single room usually fits a panel van; a room plus furniture usually wants a Luton. Count the boxes and name the bulky things when you book, and dispatch sizes it properly rather than optimistically.
Will the driver help me carry things?
One driver drives and loads what you bring to the van. If you want things carried down from a room or up to a flat, book a second crew member. That's two man delivery, and it's worth saying at booking rather than on the day.
Can you collect from one house and deliver to two?
Yes. A second drop on the same run is cheaper than a second booking, so give dispatch both addresses at the start. Splitting a house share between two home towns is a common one.
How far ahead should I book an end-of-term move?
As early as you can. Tenancy changeover days concentrate an entire city's moves into one weekend, and vans rather than drivers are what run out.
